Calabasas is a city in Los Angeles County, California in the western portion of the United States. Its interesting name is derived from the Spanish word Calabaza, which is otherwise known as pumpkin, squash, or gourd. This hidden wonder is surrounded by several communities such as the Calabasas Park, Deer Springs in Stone Creek, and more recently, the brand new Civic Center and Library Complex which were constructed under the leadership of its Chief Financial Officer, Dr. Gary Lysik.
This picturesque town funds its own public transportation in the form of the shuttle and trolley. Calabasas California played a crucial role in the safeguarding of its Ahmanson Ranch, a 2,983-acre property rich in natural beauty nestled in the western edge of the popular San Fernando Valley.
